Our Bombshells are more than models—they’re the creative heartbeat of Portland Pin-Ups. These extraordinary women serve as our resident muses, helping refine poses, spark fresh ideas, and keep our portfolio vibrant with the very best of classic pin-up glamour. Every artwork you see across our galleries draws inspiration from the collaboration, playfulness, and artistry these women bring to the studio.

A Little Bombshell History

Portland Pin-Ups was born from a single, serendipitous moment: Mike Long, then a seasoned wedding photographer (having captured over 200 beautiful ceremonies), was testing lighting when local pin-up icon Cherry Dollface stepped in to pose. One hour of pure pin-up magic later, Mike was completely hooked—and the obsession that became Portland Pin-Ups was ignited.

In those early days, Cherry was joined by Mandy Apple and Dottie Diamond, and together they created fun, nostalgic, silly, and utterly unique portraits—purely for the joy of it and to let Mike stretch his artistic wings. As client demand grew, the studio evolved into the West Coast’s premier pin-up portrait destination. Model shoots naturally took a backseat… until Mike realized how essential they truly were.

Today, our Bombshells fulfill three vital roles:

• Providing fresh, showcase-worthy artwork—because many of our incredible clients prefer to keep their own portraits private, we rely on our Bombshells to keep the public-facing gallery alive and inspiring.
• Fueling creative collaboration—Mike’s imagination is endless, but the best ideas emerge when brilliant, creative women bounce concepts back and forth. The final concepts are always stronger, bolder, and more beautiful than the first spark.
• Giving an artist room to play—free from client deadlines, these sessions let Mike experiment, have fun, and push boundaries, keeping the work fresh and alive.

Meet the Current Bombshells

Our current team of Bombshells is Nicky and Erienne—two wildly talented, joyful women who also happen to be former clients! They were chosen not just for their stunning presence, but for the way they embrace direction, contribute creatively, and light up the studio. (Fun fact: All of our Bombshells, past and present, began as clients themselves.)
